Pickleball in Coldwater, Ohio

Coldwater's pickleball activity is centered on Coldwater Memorial Park. The village invested in a major court project that converted part of the tennis complex into dedicated pickleball courts, giving local players a much stronger outdoor setup than the older shared-court arrangement. The park has also hosted league play and an annual charity pickleball tournament.

Memorial Park is Coldwater's main outdoor pickleball destination. Beginner Pickleball in Coldwater

Coldwater does not currently publish a recurring beginner clinic or learn-to-play program. New players should start by joining established play at Memorial Park when local groups are active rather than trying to learn during an empty-court session.

Players who want individual instruction can also use the Coaches section.

Open Play and Organized Pickleball

Coldwater has a history of organized pickleball at Memorial Park. Village recreation programming has included open play on the north courts and a Tuesday morning league. The newer dedicated pickleball complex has replaced that older shared-court setup, though a current 2026 weekly league schedule is not published clearly enough to give fixed times.

Memorial Park also hosts pickleball as part of the annual Coldwater Multiple Donations Tournament weekend. The 2026 pickleball tournament was held August 15 and 16 with men's, women's, mixed, social, and competitive divisions. See Coldwater Multiple Donations tournament information.

Visiting Coldwater and Looking for a Game?

If you already have partners, Coldwater Memorial Park is the straightforward local destination. The dedicated outdoor courts make it the center of pickleball in town.

If you are traveling alone, Memorial Park is still the place to start, though there is not a current published weekly open-play schedule that guarantees players will be there at a particular time. The park does have established local league and tournament activity, so it offers a better chance of finding active players than an ordinary unscheduled recreation court.
